(Muggsy Bogues) Taller (Chris Paul) Taller (Yao Ming) Taller (IsAiah Thomas) What no I said taller (tallest player). This basketball player is the tallest high school player in the world and is already taller than everyone in the NBA. But who is he and can he make the NBA?

What is up dudes, dudettes, ballers, players. It’s ya boi MJ. Today I wanted to talk about the tallest high school basketball player right now, Robert Bobroczky, the 7’ 7” 17 year old. If you like this video, like and subscribe for more fire content! Also, comment down below, do you think Robert can make the NBA based off just height? Alright, let’s get into it.

You didn’t mishear what I said. Robert Bobroczky is 7’ 7”! And he’s a sophomore in high school. He’s still growing. He’s that cheat code in 2K. The tallest player in the NBA right now is 7’ 3”. The man is 7’ 7”, 4 inches taller than the tallest player in NBA right now! What the heck? If you look at him next to his teammates, the pictures look photoshopped. Straight up photoshopped. But it shouldn’t come as surprising considering that his father is 7’ 1” and his mother is 6’! His father played alongside the tallest player in NBA history, Gheorghe Muresan, for the Romanian national team. Muresan was 7’ 7”. So you know what that means, Robert is taller than any NBA player in history!

I know what all of you are about to say, look at him, he’s skinnier than a stick. He’s the literal definition of a stick man. Just look! But Robert is committed to getting his weight up. In one year, he has increased his weight from 190 pounds to 205 pounds and that definitely is not easy. He’s had to play limited minutes and focus more on building strength, sticking to a 5000 calorie diet, and work on his quickness. Scouting reports say that apart from his obvious height, he has a mid range and 3 point jumper and good passing ability, but he is plagued by the same big man problems that people have. He moves awkwardly and just has problems running. I mean, it just looks off.

Born in Romania, Robert grew up relatively normal until his pre-teen years where is just had a massive growth spurt and was 7’ 1” at the age of 12! WHAT! The man was just a giant at 12? It’s times like these that just leave me in pure amazement. After several medical studies, it was determined that Robert didn’t have some medical condition that made him that tall, it was just his genetics that he got from his tall parents. And of course he wasn’t done growing.

At the age of 14, he was recruited by A.S. Stella Azzurra, the same club that produced Andrea Bargnani. That’s something right. Andrea Bargnani was a number 1 overall pick and was good in the NBA before injuries made a laughing stock and… yeah. Still, Robert Bobroczky is pretty well known considering the fact that his highlights of him dominating his competition at SPIRE institute in Ohio went viral. SPIRE is an olympic facility where Robert went to train for high school and has aspirations of making the NBA. Now I personally don’t know if he can make the NBA. He’s still expected to grow even more! So basically Robert might be the first person to touch the sky at this rate. But for real though, He has a lot of bulking up to do to even play consistent minutes at the college level. He has shown signs of insane dedication. The coaching staff at SPIRE shower Robert in compliments about how he wants it so bad. And he’s shown that he can bulk up. Remember, Porzingis was skinny for the NBA as well and he bulked up. Porzingod is now just a beast. Robert has a long way to go for that but it’s still possible. He’s on many European basketball clubs’ radars, but his goal is the NBA. Robert Bobroczky is the tallest high school basketball player in the world at 7’ 7” and is just a freak of nature that might make it to the NBA.
